SUPPORI

WHY SHOULD I BUY SUPPORI? WHAT ARE ITS FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER CARRIERS?

As babies develop and grow, many parents find that carrying their child on their hip is the easiest and most convenient way to move around and stay
productive, while maintaining comfort. And the SUPPORi baby sling is just perfect for that task.

• SAFE AND SECURE
SUPPORi is designed to mold around your baby’s shape, tucking him/her securely. It is made from triple plied, ultra-durable thread that keeps the
baby safe. This also makes the SUPPORi capable of achieving maximum stretch which other carriers made from other materials cannot offer, while
providing maximum strength as well. Please use as directed.

• COMFORTABLE, EASY TO USE AND FLEXIBLE
SUPPORi is comfortable to use and will alleviate baby wearing injuries caused by most carriers, like sore necks and stiff shoulders, if worn as directed.
SUPPORi is also easy to use. Since the SUPPORi doesn’t have any complicated extra parts required, you can wear your baby within a minute, literally.
And because the SUPPORi stretches as the baby grows, you would be able to use it up until your baby weighs 28lbs or 13kg.

• SUPER LIGHT-WEIGHT YET DURABLE
SUPPORi’s medium size sling only weighs 2.82oz, or 80g. That is half the weight of an iPhone4. With diapers, bottles, bibs, wipes and extras to carry,
moms are often overloaded. Conventional carriers are unlikely to ease your load. They are often heavy, weighing in at around 700-800g, and takes
up too much space. Not to mention, having to worry about misplacing some extra parts that other carriers require. A SUPPORi, however, is only a one-
piece sling and is made of light-weight materials . It is also very compact, easily fitting into your palm, or even a small handbag which makes it easier
for you to carry it anywhere! But at the same time, since SUPPORi is made of triple stitch technology, it is also durable. We guarantee that, if used as
directed, it will last up to another baby’s use.

• ENCOURAGES EMOTIONAL BONDING
SUPPORi makes baby wearing so easy that you’ll love using it. And baby wearing has been proven to encourage emotional bonding. Using the
SUPPORi can also help your baby develop a sense of security, while promoting independence at an earlier age. According to Dr. Meredith Small, PhD,
Professor of Anthropology at Cornell University and author of Our Babies Ourselves: How Biology and Culture Shape The Way We Parent, babies
worn on a parent’s chest or back interact more with the people around them, increasing their social skills at such a young age.

• PERMEABILITY
SUPPORi is environment friendly and does not retain heat due to its permeable design which reduces the threat of heat rash that other carriers may
cause. So, it is great all year round, even during the hot summers.

• AWARD-WINNING
SUPPORi is recognized as being one of the top parenting products and have won prestigious awards such as the 2010 Good Design Award and 2011
Parent Tested Parent Approved Award.

• STYLISH AND FASHIONABLE
SUPPORi is a simple yet stylish sling that is available in a wide variety of trendy colors to choose from. So, whether you’re a mom or dad, we’re sure
you’ll find a color suitable for you.

WHAT IS THE SUPPORi MADE OF?

The SUPPORi is made of a triple stitched, knitted yarn. It does not retain heat and very useful during hot summer months. The high tenancy yarn is a special type of polyester. This specific yarn is so durable, that it is also used in motor vehicle parts.

WHAT IS MY SIZE?

Please use the size chart above as a guide to know which SUPPORi size fits you best. Its IMPORTANT that you also read the next tab on how to
properly get the correct measurement from your shoulder bone down to your opposite belt line.

Very Important: The image on the left illustrates how close the sling should be to your body. The closer it is, the safer and secure baby will feel.
While we do recommend that you follow the size chart above, there may also be some exceptions depending on y our overall body type.

While we do recommend that you follow the size chart above, there may also be some exceptions depending on y our overall body type.

Are you an average sized person?

Follow the chart to select which size would suit you best. If your measurement ends in a ½, veer towards the smaller size. For example:
– Kate is 5’4″. Her shoulder to opposite belt line measures 24.5″. Size D fits her best.
– Farrrah is 5’8″. Her shoulder to opposite belt line measures 25.5″. Size E fits her best.
– John is 6’3″. His shoulder to opposite belt line measures 28″. Size F fits him best.
– Austin is 6’2″. His shoulder to opposite belt line measures 29″. Size G fits him best.
– Jennifer is 5’6″. Her shoulder to opposite belt line measures 32.5″. Size G fits her best.

Are you heavier or more muscular in your shoulders and chest?

You would be best advised to choose one size up. For example:
– Allie is 5’6″ tall. Her shoulder to opposite belt line measures 32.5″ (exactly the same as Jennifer above). However, because she is a little heaver in the chest, size H fitted her best.
– Phillip is 5’8″ tall. His shoulder to opposite belt line measures 26″. According to the chart, he should need a size F, but because his chest and shoulders are more muscular, size G fit him best.
– Melissa is 5’4″ tall. Her shoulder to opposite belt line is 24″. According to the chart, she should be a size D but because she is a C-Cup, she felt that a size E fit her better. If you are a C-Cup and above, you are advised to go one size up.

Are you scrawny?

You would be best advised to choose one size down. For example
– Gordon is 6’1″ tall. His shoulder to opposite belt line measures 26″. While the size F fit him, he felt more comfortable, and baby felt more safe and secure when he tried size E

HOW TO GET THE CORRECT MEASUREMENT FROM MY SHOULDER TO OPPOSITE HIP?

Please follow the three simple steps below when trying to get the measurement from your shoulder bone to the top of your opposite belt line.

STEP ONE:
Stand up, relax. Do not stretch into an unnaturally taller position. This is not how you would carry your baby and the larger measurement will distort your natural measurement.

STEP TWO:
Using a soft measuring tape, measure the distance from the top of your shoulder bone, to the top of your hip bone. The measuring tape should not be draped loosely.

STEP THREE:
Finally, once you know your measurement, refer to the recommended size chart. Search which column your shoulder to opposite hip measurement falls under and which row your height falls under to indicate which SUPPORi size would fit you best.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO GET THE CORRECT SIZE?

Caregivers should always support baby with one hand while wearing baby with the SUPPORi Baby Sling. However, if you have the correct size, you should be able to comfortably take both hands off your baby. Please see figure 1 on the left.

When parents and caregivers initially try on a SUPPORi that is appropriately sized for them, some may feel that there is not enough room for baby.

However, once they have baby in the sling, they quickly realize that there is more than enough space, even for bigger and older babies as the SUPPORistretches and molds around baby’s shape. Please see figure 2, which illustrates how close the SUPPORi should be to your body.

HOW TO USE/WEAR THE SUPPORi?

Using your SUPPORi baby carrier/sling is as easy as 1-2 3. For your baby’s safety and the comfort of both the baby and the caregiver, please ensure
that you follow these simple instructions.

STEP ONE:
Place your SUPPORi across your body. Widen the strap across your shoulder and ensure a comfortable fit. Placing your SUPPORi across your shoulder will alleviate shoulder stiffness and other baby wearing injuries.

STEP TWO:
Place your baby inside the sling. Baby’s legs should be hanging outside the sling.

STEP THREE:
Widen your SUPPORi to ensure the baby’s bottom, hips and back are fully covered. Support your baby with your hand.

IS THE SUPPORI SUITABLE FOR NEWBORNS OR BIG TODDLERS?

No, the SUPPORi should NOT be used for newborns. Your baby should be able to sit up by himself/herself before you can use the sling. You can continue to use the SUPPORi up until your baby weighs 28lbs or 13kg.

DOES THE SUPPORi CAUSE INJURIES LIKE IN MOST CARRIERS?

No, as a matter of fact, correctly wearing the SUPPORi carrier will diminish the user’s chances of suffering from stiff shoulders or other weight induced
stress which you may get from using other carriers.

When using most conventional baby carriers, the baby’s weight is concentrated on the trapezius and rhomboid muscle (see figure above). There is a blood vessel located directly under both these muscles, and strain on these muscles may result in shoulder stiffness. However, with the SUPPORi carrier, the baby’s weight is concentrated on the deltoid muscle, which is stronger than the aforementioned muscles. As such, the SUPPORi will lessen the impact of your baby’s weight in comparison to conventional baby carriers.

WHAT IMPORTANT WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE USING SUPPORI?

The following are precautionary measures, also listed on the product packaging:
- Do not use while jogging, jumping, or exercising.
- Do not use near fires.
- In the unlikely event that you find a hanging thread, do not cut. Discontinue use.
- Do not use SUPPORI if you have balance issues, a history of back or leg pain, history of dizziness, or any physical or health problems, including but
not limited to muscular, circulatory or skeletal issues.
- Do not use SUPPORI for a child with disabilities. If you child has disabilities, please consult with your physician prior to use of the SUPPORi.
- Do not use within 30 minutes after feeding your child, as wearing your baby may put pressure on his/her stomach.
- Do not use continuously for more than two hours.
- Do not use for any other purpose other than carrying your baby.
- Do not bend at more than a 45 degree angle. While using the SUPPORi carrier, take care when leaning forwards, sideways or backwards.
- When in the sling, your baby must be supported by one hand. Pay attention to your baby’s responsiveness while in the carrier.
- If SUPPORI is wet due to water or sweat, the friction may cause dye transfer.

HOW DO I PROPERLY WASH AND DRY THE SUPPORi?

• Machine wash: Wash with a gentle cycle using mild detergent in 104°F/40°C degrees water.
• Do not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener.
• Gently rinse out the water and reshape the carrier. Lay flat to dry in the shade.
• Do not iron or dry clean.
• Please make sure to wash separately, as the carrier may bleed.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN MY SUPPORi FIRST ARRIVED?

SUPPORI goes through a rigorous testing process. It is thoroughly checked for damage or fraying by two departments over different periods. You can thus rest assured that the carrier you received is quality tested. However, in the unlikely event, please make sure to check for any damage, breakage or fraying before using the carrier. If any damage is noticed, do not use the carrier, and return for a replacement. Please email us at support@luckybabyworld.com for complete return details. Kindly advise us hereof within 7 days of receipt.

MY SUPPORi JUST ARRIVED, BUT THE COLOR/SIZE IS WRONG. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If you receive the wrong SUPPORi color/size or you mistakenly have ordered the wrong color/size, please email us at support@luckybabyworld.com for complete return details. Kindly advise us hereof within 7 days of receipt.

SHOUL RAKU

What makes the Shoul Raku different from the Suppori?

The Suppori is an excellent casual and comfortable baby carrier. We feel that it performs its best when being used for casual carrying while doing household chores, indoor family gatherings, light shopping, errands, etc. The Shoul Raku is intended for occasions or events that require you to carry your baby for long periods of time where temperature fluctuations may occur, such as shopping at the mall, long walks or hikes, sports events, parades, etc. The Shoul Raku also provides your baby with a 90% UV protective hood cover, which is an added plus when you plan on being outdoors for an extended period.

Why do I need the Inner Pad and how long do I need to use it?

The inner pad was designed for use with babies from newborn to age 4 – 6 months. It supports your baby’s head and neck, as well as the hips, spine and legs during the first few months of development. Once your baby can hold his/her head up for long periods of time and is comfortable with his/her hip placement in the carrier, you no longer need to use the inner pad.

What is the maximum weight limit for the Shoul Raku?

For the Face-to-Face carrying position, up to 28lbs. For the Piggy-Back carrying position, up to 33lbs.

At what age can my baby start using the Shoul Raku?

It is recommended that you wait until your newborn is at least 10 days old. Use the inner pad with your newborn until approximately 4-6 months, or when he/she can hold their head up on their own. The Face-to-Face carrying position is recommended for newborns when used with the Inner Pad.

Is the Shoul Raku machine washable?

It is recommended that you hand wash the Shoul Raku in cold or warm water and let it air dry. If you choose to machine wash the carrier, use a gentle wash and avoid a spin cycle. Do not dry the Shoul Raku in a dryer, this could cause damage to the straps, buckle, and stitching. Remember to wash with a mild, bleach-free detergent and do not pre-soak or wash with other clothing. Do not use fabric softener.

Is the Shoul Raku suitable for both Mom and Dad?

Yes. The Shoul Raku has been tested by both men and women for a comfortable fit. The padded waist belt adjusts up to 55″.

Both the Face-to-Face and Piggy-Back positions will be comfortable for both you and your child. However, as mentioned earlier, studies have shown that during the early development of your child as a newborn, the Face-to-Face carrying position allows the most interaction between the parent and child. This has been proven to help with social interaction, speech, and brain development. The Piggy-Back position is highly recommended once the baby is able to hold his/her head up on their own. Most importantly, both positions allow you and your baby to be close to one another throughout the day!

Can you wear the Shoul Raku while pregnant?

There are many baby carriers on the market that suggest you can wear the carrier while pregnant up until your fifth month of pregnancy. We recommend that you consult your health care practitioner if you choose to carry your baby/toddler while pregnant.

KANTAN NET

How is the Kantan Net different from the Suppori?

The Kantan Net offers the ability to adjust the babycarrier. As such, your Kantan can grow with baby. Baby’s weight will be between your neck and your shoulder.
The SUPPORi, while not adjustable, molds around the shape of your baby, covering both their hips and back. The SUPPORi can also stretch further than the Kantan. If worn as suggested, the weight of baby will be on your shoulder.

Is it washable?

We recommend that you wash the Kantan Net by hand. Use a mild detergent, DO NOT use bleach or fabric softener. Gently rinse out the water and lay the carrier flat to dry.

What is the weight limit for the Kantan Net?

Approximately 28lbs/13kgs. Most importantly, the baby needs to be able to hold their head up on their own.
